Ah! I keep sitting down to write an update and I keep getting interrupted and then come back and it’s gone because some little hands have messed with the computer, or someone has come and used it and lost my window!!! Anyhow…
The kids are all settled into our new home and they love it. We have a pond outside the back of our building and it has ducks in it. If it would quit raining for a bit we could go out and enjoy it. Our first night here Sarah got to walk in the grass outside our front door. She hated it but it was funny to watch her realize she was on a different terrain and then start to whine about it. The kids fit nicely into their bedrooms after we switched them. We had the twins in the smallest room because it was further away from the main area, but turned out they didn’t fit real well in it so we moved them. They have been sleeping well even closer to the action. I love how their rooms are setup.
Elisa had a wonderful birthday. She got a twin doll that looks just like her…some clothes…a Barbie hippity-hop which she is using quite nicely to get her energy out, and she had a cake and some cupcakes on 2 different days. She is 5 now and I went to register her for school today. *SIGH* The school is very nice, one of the newer ones that is all enclosed which means no portables or outside hallways. I like that idea better than the older schools. I am very nervous about her going to school because I don’t like the public system and the idea of her riding the bus scares the bejeebies out of me. I’m sure she will be fine about the entire thing while I sit in panic for the first day or so. I can’t believe she is going to school. I am getting old.
Sarah and Stephen also had a small birthday with my stepmom and stepsister. They got to swim, eat cake and open presents and it was adorable. Pictures will be on the gallery hopefully right after I finish this entry. They also got some clothes, an adorable leap-frog doll that sings in English and Spanish, some picture frames that have spaces for a pic from each month of their first year, and a hippo that can be pushed or ridden and has little blocks with it. They also got a little-people Barn which they LOVE. It makes animal sounds and sings Old McDonald and they love to play with the animals and make all of the sounds. It’s adorable to watch them play. That picture collage will be a challenge to me but I am pretty sure I have pictures from each month of their lives. I am adding it to my other projects like footprints, handprints, photo albums, baby books, etc. etc. etc. I hope to have more time for that as they get older.
Baby Steve still isn’t walking yet. He pulls up and will walk if you let him hold your fingers, but that is all. He gets on his tiptoes which all of his uncles on Mommy’s side did as well when they were younger. If he would just keep his feet flat he could walk. He’s working on it though and should be walking soon.
That’s it for now. Check the gallery for more fun pics. Update soon!
