I swear I wrote an update yesterday about the kids going swimming and daddy being gone. I swear I did. Pregnant brain in full effect.
So, recap. I am trying to record everything that happens while Steve is away so he can read it when he comes home. Of course I tell him all about them when I talk to him, but this is in case I forget to since time speaking to him has been scarce since he left.
Yesterday I took the kids to dad’s to swim and they had a GREAT TIME. Elisa is a fish and just jumps in and swims underwater and everything. She loves to swim. Baby Steve was his laid-back self and floated around in the floatie we have for him. After a while I held him and we played. Then he put his head on my shoulder and I knew he was tired, so I got out and held im in a lounge chair and he napped for a bit. There is no better feeling in the world than holding a sleeping child. It’s true peace.
Sarah was a FISH yesterday. She didn’t want to be in the floatie and let us all know. She didn’t want to wear arm bands either so Britney and Sandy got in there with her and were helping her float around and tossing her and stuff. SHE LOVED IT! The few times she would go underwater, she wouldn’t come up coughing and stuff. It was like she knew how to hold her breath!
Sarah also went exploring around the pool area - and there are two steps up to the jacuzzi area that she decided to go ahead and conquer. And she did it. Climbed up, down, up, down. We thought it was just a thing for the steps, but later that evening after dinner she climbed onto the coffee table. I hope she forgets she learned how to do that. I can’t have her climbing yet!!!!
Today was a laid back day. The kids played with their toys - and Sarah is MAJORLY into her shape sorter lately so we worked on that a bit. While playing she saw Daddy’s picture on the computer and pointed to it and started asking me - Da? Da? So we got out our photo album and looked at pictures of Daddy. It was adorable. Stephen then started walking around going “daDDY, daDDY” like he does. They sure had mommy in tears. I miss their daddy.
Today was picture day for Elisa. Now, I have no idea what time of the day pictures were, but I sent her in pigtails hoping that they would take the pictures before P.E. or recess. She racked her brain trying to remember when pictures were and claims they were after P.E. but before lunch. We can all hope that her hair was decent, but she comes home looking like a ragamuffin cus she plays so hard so don’t expect too much. Either way I know the pictures will be cute. I can’t wait to receive them.
That’s all for now - the next 2 days I have scheduled company and errands to keep busy until Daddy comes home. Will update with more cute stuff if it happens though, don’t worry!!!
