the highchair is gone

My babies are growing up.
Not too long ago I gave back the high chair I had borrowed for my Maria baby. It was a milestone for me. She can sit in a booster seat now. In order for her to do that, one of the twins has to give up their booster seat. Well, last week Sarah decided she is a big girl and can sit right at the table. So her chair has been empty and I have been letting Maria sit in it. Stephen took the cue and now both the twins sit at the table like little grown-ups and Maria climbs in the booster chair herself and sits down.
It’s weird to me that now I have all my kids sitting at our dining room table now. They have always been the babies and now they are growing up! Pretty soon, nobody will sit in a booster seat and everyone will be eating together at the table. Wow.
Time Flies. Just 18 months ago I had just had Maria and was adjusting to life with 4 small children. Now look at them growing all up and stuff. Fun times.
No. They are not growing up. They are exactly as they were when we left to TN. They don’t age when they live in another state.

Isn’t it scary how the days can seem sooooo long and then you turn around and a year has passed in an instant?
