So. I finally called to try to see what the problem is with our damn phones. The guy I spoke to was nice and did a ton of tests and checks and such and figured out that our phone as well as the network sucks right now and he can’t figure out why. Could be a phone issue, could be a network issue. He said it seems like we have bad phones until I told him that LOTS of people are having issue.
So, he bumped up our service contract and basically canceled them with a catch of course. There was no fee, but we needed to go ahead and get new phones, start new contracts, and see if another type of phone would fix the problem. Now, we all know that it won’t fix the problem, but I went ahead with it because I was so glad he actually got me out of my contract. What will happen is I order new phones and start a new contract and then have 30 days to cancel the service and return the phones if I am not happy or there are still dropped calls and network issues.
The next 5 hours I spent trying to upgrade the phones. He told me I could do it online. Only one of the orders went through and the other line kept saying an order was in progress when it was not. I called customer service and was transferred to about 100 people. Once I finally got someone to help me and fix the problem, my cell phone dropped the FREAKIN CALL! It happened numerous times during my plight but this time the people didn’t call me back. I was right in the order process and boom, they were gone. Repeatedly this happened. For like EVER.
Anyways - I called this morning and finally got another phone ordered but I am fed up, so I decided as soon as they get here I will open them, activate them, and call the next day to cancel them and return them. I got online and ordered Verizon service - a comparable plan with nice features and GREAT phones for a GREAT price, and I can’t WAIT until they get here! Our bill will be cheaper for the same plan we have now - and sure, there isn’t rollover and our bluetooth features will be limited, but the phones will be KICK ASS and the service EVEN BETTER!
I am so excited about switching to Verizon! My best buddies, dad, step-mom and soon my mom are all on Verizon and so I will be talking to tons of peeps - AND TEXTING THEM - for free! WHOOHOOO!!!!!!
